upgraded from Win98 to XP. Is Office 2000 compatible?

I have just updated my software on my home computer from Windows 98 to
Windows XP. It didn't install my Microsoft office with word and excel. I
tried to add it back in but I am unable to find the executable file to
install. Could someone help me out. Or do I need to go re-purchase the same
software to install it?

Help in Utah.
