Upgraded to 2003 with BCM now cannot save an appointment

I just installed Outlook 2003 Pro with BCM. Have not installed data into BCM
yet since I need to learn it. However my new Outlook Calender no longer
allows me to make an appointment for my Outlook contacts? Why? Tasks work,
but appointments cannot be saved???
