Upgrading from Outlook 2002 (XP) to Outlook 2003 lost saved email.

Is there any way to retrieve saved email & address book that has been lost?

Tell us how they were lost.
Upgrading does not lose data. Just configure your new installation to use
your previous Outlook Data File:

Outlook stores your messages stores (OST and PST) as hidden files in
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook. You can easily access it by pasting
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
in the Address bar of your browser or Windows Explorer.

Note that by default, Windows hides some of your user profile folders from
you. Change the settings in Windows Explorer's Tools, Folder Options, View
tab to show hidden files and folders and remove the check from hide system
files.
