Upgrading Office 2003

Candie

All,
I upgraded all my users via GPO from office 2000 to office 2003. I would
now like to upgrade my users from office 2003 to office 2007 via gpo also. Is
this possible to do without winding up with both versions on my users
systems? Will outlook also be upgraded to 2007?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Candie,

It is possible, but I have to be honest... using GPO software installation
to deploy office 2007 and expect it to upgrade every time without failures is
not the best method.

If you want to blanket upgrade everyone from 2003 to 2007 using your GPO you
may want to consider using the startup script method. It has a much better
success rate when it comes to upgrading, plus using this method you can use a
custom .msp also and you dont have to limit your customizations to the
config.xml.
