Uploading contacts from Outlook 2003 contacts into outlook express

After downloading my Windows address book into outlook for the purpose of
then upoading into my PDA the contacts that are now in the contacts folder
will not open for the synchronization. Only those I had previously in
outlook express would transfer. I have over 700 contacts I need to upload,
please can anyone help me?
