URGENT - OFFICE DOES NOT WORK

Hi Everyone,

I am using Office XP.

Suddenly I am no longer able to open safe any Word, Excel documents. Have
not installed any updates for Office. Not sure if there were any Windows
updates applied to the machine.

I don't get an error message. The application just hangs and then I have to
force it to shut.

Any idea what can cause this?

I am using XP Pro and Firewall is turned off.
