URGENT - Table of Contents in Word 2002

D

DMR

I used both the Styles and the Mark Text methods in my 50-page Word 2002
document and have generated a Table of Contents. Only problem is that the
paragraph numbers don't appear in the Table of Contents, likely because I
used Auto-numbering in the document. Does anybody know a way to make them
appear? I'm on Office XP. I want it to look like 1.0 Introduction.......1

Thanks.

Hi Diane

When you mark text to be included in a table of contents, only the text will
be included in the table of contents. Which makes sense, when you think
about it.

If you want the paragraph numbering to be included in the TOC, you'll have
to construct the TOC using styles. For more information, see

Hope this helps.
