URL Not Recognized in Outlook Contacts

When I copy and paste a URL into an Outlook Contact it
will not enable. Tried both copying a legitimate URL and
then pasteing the path <url> with no luck. How can I
enable Outlook Contacts to recognize the URL. The URL is
recognized in Outlook Mail. Help appreciated. Bill
