User Defined Styles

I cannot access and apply the new test styles that I've created in FP 2003.
In FP 2002, when I created a new style FORMAT>STYLE>NEW, I could see that
style in the toolbar pulldown list, but I can't reach my created styles in FP
2003. Does anyone know whether there Is there a program bug, or perhaps some
option setting that I have to change to make my created styles accessible?
