Users Change Their Passwords?

Mike Fleckenstein

Greetings,

I have a site that is remotely hosted on a *nix machine running the Front
Page server extensions. I have developed the site using various versions of
Front Page over the years, currently Front Page 2002. I let FP handle the
html but use FP's html editor to write the majority of the pages in
JavaScript, php and mysql. Everything works well for me.

Part of my site is restricted to approved users who enter usernames and
passwords to access that portion of the site. I currently have to manually
change a user's password for them when necessary. I would prefer to allow
them to change their own password when they desire, but I can't find a way
in Front Page to do that. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I guess I was hoping that there would be a new solution in FP2003. There is
a huge distinction between trusting someone with browsing rights and
trusting them with the keys to edit your site.

Is there anything in the works to add the feature? Has anyone found a
work-around?

Thanks for the quick response....

Mike
