Using a flowchart in word

When I close my flowchart and reopen, my flowchart shapes have changed and
shifted. How can I stop this from happening.

What version of Word, how are you creating and placing
the shapes (with/without the drawing canvas, pasted, etc)

How are they shifiting and changing?
