using bullets

Just trying to find out if I can or cannot do this in Publisher. There are
only a few bullet characters available in publisher and I would like to have
access to more. In word you simply got to format select bullets and then use
the import button to add an unlimited number of bullets. It appears that you
cannot do this with Publisher. I work much better with publisher than I do
with Word. Any suggestions on how I can increase my bullet inventory.
Thanks.

Hi Manny,
I can only state this for Publisher 2007...

Goto Format > Bullets and Numbering. Click on the "Bullets" Tab and
then click on the "Character..." button.

I hope that this helps...

Almost any character (thousands?) can be used as a bullet ...which version
of Publisher are you using?

Hi Rob, thanks for the quick reply. I have both the 2003 & 2007 Publisher.
Actually I know about the "character" button listed under the format window
but I thought there might be a way to import specific images for use as
bullet like you can do with word. Any advice you can give me would be great.
Thanks.

There are literally thousands of dingbats available, many are free. You can
re-size clipart or objects to very small and use the results as a bullet (This
will take some lining up). Bullets can be a different color than the line of
text. Turn on Special Characters ( ¶ ), high-light the ¶ at the end of the text
line, give it a color.
