Using cell value as index to another cell

D

Don

I need to use the numeric value in one cell as the index
to the value in another cell in another column.

Example:
If D18 holds a value of 50, I need to find the value in
cell X50? Where "X" can be any column. Any ideas?

Hi Don
try
=INDIRECT("X" & D18)

Don,

You can use the INDIRECT function to do this. For example,

=INDIRECT("X"&D18)
