using powerpoint templates for theme

We have a company powerpoint template we are required to use for published
documents. Is it possible to use it as a FP theme?

Not directly
- and not recommended unless all your web pages will be as "small" as a PPT slide

A PPT template is just a "collection" of images and font settings
- you could create a save as web page in PPT from a 1 page slide
(set the Publish - Web Options - Files to not create a separate folder)
Then file import the page and images into FP to create a template from them
