Using Rules Wizard to forward messages to other e-mail address

Using Outlook 2003 on XP with Exchange Server 2007 (64-bit) running on
Windows 2003 Server (64 bit). I am trying to set up a rule that will forward
incoming messages to another e-mail address. I know how to set up the rule.
However, the rule only works automatically if I set up the rule to forward
the message to another e-mail account in our company domain. In that
situation it works just as advertised.

When I set up the rule to forward messages to an e-mail account outside our
company domain, the rule will not work automatically! It does not forward the
message. Now, when I go into the rules screen and manually tell it to apply
the rule to existing messages, the rule works just fine. It will forward
these existing messages to the correct address. This means that the
forwarding address is correct and, therefore, is not the cause of the
problem. But, the rule will not work automatically with incoming messages, as
it should.

I have found no documentation regarding this problem. I hope someone has a
suggestion for me.

Talk to your Exchange Administrator, as Exchange (by default iirc) prevents
automatically forwarded messages from going to the Internet, which would
give the exact symptoms you describe.
