If I use Copperplate font will visitors to my web site see
Copperplate even if it's not loaded on their computer? Or
will their computer replace it with another font?

that's a fairly rare font - I certainly don't have it. If the user doesn't
have it they'll see their default font - usually times new roman. It's ok to
specify rare fonts but you should give alternates, eg

font-family: copperplate, georgia,"times new roman",times,serif;

(Copperplate sounds like a serif font) This way you can at least be fairly
sure of getting your choice of serif/sans serif. If you're making something
like a banner/headline you could make a graphic - but obviously you wouldn't
want to do this for body text
