Hello all

I know this is a simply fix, I am using word as my email editor, and have for a long time. I updated to SP3 and now have this issue which I know was fixed by a patch a while back. Can anyone help

Error: a program is trying to access the e-mail addresses you have stored in outlook. Do you want to allow this? (with a yes or no button) pressing either one allows access

Thank you

I'm not aware of this issue caused by SP3, but maybe. I searched
Microsoft Knowledge base for "program trying to access email address
office xp" and found nothing about a patch on this.

However, the symptom you report is sometimes caused by computer viruses.
So it would be prudent for you to you check your machine with
anti-virus and spy-bot detection software.

You can also do more seaching on Microsoft's download site for the patch
you are seeking. Sorry, but I can't spot it for you.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Thank you

I thought it might be a virus also, but have run both mcafee and other virus programs just in case and have come up with nothing yet..I will keep looking

Are you working with Adobe Acrobat as well? Then locate the following
registry key;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\PDFMOutlook.PDFMOutlook
set the LoadBehavior entry's value from 3 to 2.
This will prevent the PDFMaker COM add-in to load in Outlook.
