VB Front Access Back

No. You will be using a Jet data provider. Data manipulation from your
front-end will be handled by Jet.

You will probably want a copy somewhere for making changes to the back-end
though...and you may need it if you want to automate Access - running reports
etc.

If you have a VB Front End and an Access Back End do you still have to
have Access installed?
