A. Wait for new Office edition later this year
B. Run Office apps in parallel (does this solve VBA issues?)
C. Install Office 2008

You could buy a few books on Excel VBA and study them. However without
any practice it might not be the best way. As far as your options go:
A. That's probably the best.
B. There are NO VBA issues with Windows Office running in Parallels.
However, you must realize that to run Windows office (Mac Office will
NOT work under parallels), you will need to buy Parallels, a copy of
Windows, and a copy of Windows Office. then you are faced with the
maintenance, upgrade and virus issues of a Windows system.
C. That will work fine, but there is no VBA. If you really meant Office
2004, that's also a good solution and you can practive VBA until the
next version of Office arrives.

Thanks for the reply Bob, as I look into it more I think I can wait until this holiday season to learn VBA. Much obliged.

Office2008 does not have VBA so, I would recommend getting or keeping Office2004 until Office 2011/12 Comes out

Or Buy Office 2010 for PC and a copy of Windows 7 and Parallels and put on a PC partition on your Intel Mac. Supposedly Office 2011/12? it suppose to launch at the end of Dec or Jan 2011 ( XMas Holidays) .

Just depends upon whether you need now. Or whether you can afford to wait til Christmas to get the Mac Version.
