VBA in Template not Document

Trev

I have a VBA embedded into a template, it works fine and I can generate new
documents off the template. However if the document (.doc) is e-mailed or
copied to a new machine the VBA breaks because I cannot find the template.
It is not an option to copy the .DOT as well.

Does anyone know if there is any way to programmability break the link
between a document and a template and copy the VBA / macro code from the
template into the document.

Thanks in advance.

G'day "Trev" <[email protected]>,

Who is the audience please? If this is internal you need a SOE
solution involving a simple XCOPY bat file to copy down the changed
templates at login from a central, accessible location.

If this is external, you can either send the template along, or drag
the vba from the template to the document. However, many
implementations of Word will still forbid your macros for security
reasons. If you send the template and doc zipped together, it works
quite well if you digitally sign your template.
