ver. 2007 won't install

Two brand new PCs and neither will properly install Publisher 2007. I ran
through my normal install processes and both times after installing Pub 2007
I reboot the system and it never comes back. System halts on a black blank
screen after the Windows XP logo disappears.

Possible cause: I'm trying to run Office 2000 (Word, Excel, Access,
PowerPoint, Front Page) Outlook 2003 (came with Exchange 2003) and Publisher
2007. Wheninstalling Office 2000 I am careful to not install Outlook or
Publisher. Then I install Outlook 2003, and finally Pub 2007. i reboot
between each installation.

Any other ideas as to what is causing this problem?
