Video goes blank when playing in pps

Hello

I saved my .pps to an autorun cd ensuring all the linked
files are with it, all seems fine on a different pc to
the one I created it on, until the video to due to play.
I hear the sound but the box turns white. I tried to open
the Windows Media video separately in the Media Player
and it says error and something about Codecs.

I am concerned as the disc to is be mass produced as a
sales tool. Can I ensure the vide wil be compatable with
all machine?

Thanks for your kind help.

As you've seen, there are a number of things that you can't guarantee. One
of them is the state of the hardware and software installed and the other
would be the resources available on the target machine. To play media
(video) you'll want to use a common format and codec to improve your chances
of success. See the tutorial at
http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorials/PowerPoint/multimedia.htm for a
detailed discussion of the issues.
