View All Project Tasks

We have MS Project Server 2002, and til now have allowed all
non-management level employees to view only the tasks to which they've
been assigned via web access. Now, the request has been made to allow
everyone to view all tasks w/in a published project plan.

Does this entail allowing all users to view all plans, or is there a
way to specify which published project plans someone can view? From
what I can tell, it's all or nothing - either resources view only their
tasks for projects to which they're assigned, or they view all tasks
for all projects. Is this correct?

Thanks for your help,
Brian

I'm working from memory about Project Server 2002, as I work exclusively
with 2003, but here's how I believe you can solve the problem:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click Admin - Manage security
3. Select the My Tasks category and click the Modify Category button
4. In the Projects section, select at least one Project view for your team
members to see
5. In the Project Center Views section, select at least one Project Center
view for your team members to see
6. Click the Save Changes button

Assuming you have not changed the default settings in your Team Members
group, I believe your team members will be able to navigate to the Project
Center page
and see only their projects, and then click on one of the projects to see a
detailed Project view of that project. Let us know if this helps.

Thanks Dale - that's what I had found too after posting my message &
hoped a more seasoned user could validate that. I appreciate your
help!
