Viewing effort by resource

I would like to be able to see effort by resource and preferably export it to
an Excel file where I can do further analysis. Any suggestions on how to go
about this?

Hi Carolyn,

Take a look at the Resource Usage view. It shows timescaled work (effort)
on the right side and detailed information about resources and assignments
on the left.
You may export data from the Resource Usage view by using the Analyze
Timescaled Data in Excel... button on the Analysis toolbar.

1 On the View menu, click Gantt Chart.
2 If applicable, select the tasks you want to export.
3 On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Analysis.
4 Click Analyze Timescaled Data in Excel.
5 Following the Analyze Timescaled Data Wizard instructions, click the
fields you want to export to Excel.

Thanks both of these suggestions are very helpful. I hadn't used the Analyze
