Viewing .eps Images

A

Alyssa

I would like to be able to view .eps images in any program
(I don't care which one, Word, Powerpoint, Paint..) as I
am able to view a .jpg for example. I supposedly
installed the encapsulated postscript graphics filter, but
all that I am able to view is a properties text box for
the image. For the most part I just need to be able to
verify that a file that has been emailed or is on disk is
able to be opened.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Alyssa,

EPS graphics aren't a MS focus when it comes
to support :)

You can use Insert=>Picture from File with an
EPS image in a Word document, for example.
The behavior will vary by version.

Word 2002 and 2003 will show and can print
the actual EPS content.

Word 97 and earlier will show a TIF preview of
the EPS and will print only that preview on
non-postscript printers, but will print the
actual EPS content if you have a postscript printer.
