viewing overlapping or hidden objects

I am using alot of text and clipart animations on my slides and many of the
objects end up on top of others so I can see the ones underneath to select
them for either moving them, or setting custom animation.

Is there a way to select them from a list rather than trying to click on the
object itself?

Thanks,
steve

Hi

You can use the 'select multiple objects' button on the Drawing toolbar. If
you can't see it, add it: tools -> customise -> commands -> categories:
drawing -> scroll down list on right hand side & drag button onto drawing
toolbar. In order to tell what things are in this list, add text to the 'web'
tab in the format object dialogue box.

Hope that helps - it's not perfect but I find it handy.

In Version 2002 and 2003 you can customize your toolbar to get such an icon:

- Click on Tools - Customize - Commands
- Choose Draw in the list on the left side
- Drag the 2nd icon in the right-hand list to any toolbar (e.g. the drawing
toolbar)
- It allows you to choose more than one object or hidden objects
- If you need to distinguish "rectangle123" from "rectangle132", use
Format - Shape and enter text in the web tab.

Best regards,
Ute
