Virtual and Physical RAM recommendations

What is the amount of RAM recommended for someone who has multiple
applications open at once. I typically have several Word documents, Outlook,
Excel, PowerPoint and a Consolidated Project Professional 2007 schedule
comprising 30 subprojects and 20,000 tasks open at the same time and move
between the various files. If the files are all on an NT share drive, how
much physical and virtual RAM should I have?

However, If your PC is running OK on the memory you have, that's enough. The
more memory you have the faster it will go, but Vista can make use of more
memory than XP.
