Visio 2007 Compatability

Sheila

I just loaded Visio 2007. When I launched the program, I got a display
indicating "Visio not compatable" with my Windows XP Home. I ran
Compatability Wizard and selected Windows 2000 (my guess) for compatability.
I still get the "not compatable" notice. How do I make Visio 2007 compatable
with my Windows XP Home? Or do I even need to bother?

That's very strange. I'm running Visio 2007 on Windows XP Home right now.
It's a very common configuration. Are you prompted to download an
additional component?

So, what happens when you select Continue?

I select "Continue" and it gives me the same message, but in a different
format.

It keeps switching between the two notices.

NOTICE ONE:
NOTICE TWO:
That's as far as it goes. It just sits there doing nothing...looking dumber
than me.

Thanks,

I've occasionally seen that when you have a version of Office on the
computer that doesn't match Visio's version (which is supposed to be okay).
My guess is that Visio needs to be reinstalled.

Mark:
You were right on the money! I reloaded Visio 2007 and discovered that I
had a Visio 5.0 on my computer. 5.0 was loading even though I was using the
Visio 2007 icon to launch the program. Deleted 5.0, and everyone is happy
again.
Thanks for your help...it was making me crazy.

Good to hear. I have had multiple versions of Visio work on the same
machine, but there can be interference.
