Visio 2007 Sector Angles

Tom

Hello,

I'm using Visio to draw angles for a radar beam. I'm using sectors
because I need to fill the area within the beam. Is there a way to
setup the angle so that the arc is displayed in degrees, such as 35
degrees? I know I can use other angles in Visio that will display
the degrees, however arc that displays angles will not do the shading
that I need.

Basically I'm trying to draw a radar arc that I can shade (transparent
shading) and display the measure of the angle in degrees.

Thanks for taking time to read this far:)

I know, what a wonderful friendly URL !!!

It's the free educational shapes that Microsoft have made available. You will find various
angles and geometry shapes that will help you.

You are correct! Awesome!!!

Sadly did not have the single item I needed. These too also had one
of the other. For example, I can diagram an angle that appears as a
beam (similar to the beam of light in one of these downloads) and fill
the beam in with color, but I can not figure out how to get the degree
of the angle to display. If I use an angle that displays the degree,
it will not fill as the beam of light does. Seems like it should be
such a simple thing to do, but just can't find it. I know it can be
done because I've seen someone do it before, but just can't find a way
that I can do it now.

That is an incredible set of shapes that may come in handy later
though....

A picture is worth a thousand words...here's an idea about what I'm
trying to do.

In the following vsd file "http://tdenham.chickenkiller.com:82/pub/
angle.vsd"

There are two angles...one shows the measure of the angle, the other
shows filled in area.

I would like to make a single object that can be manipulated that can
represent both. I know I can overlay one with the other, but I have
to manipulate both objects. I would like to just have a single object
that can do the functions of both of these angles...

Thanks:)

I know exactly what you want. I wasn't sure if you wanted to take the examples in the
educational shapes and modify them to make what you want. I don't have time to create what
you want at the moment as I'm busy updating software and websites.
However, if you take yourself over to the Visio Guy forum website at
http://www.visguy.com/vgforum/ you may find someone else who can help.
