Visio stencils - lines per master etc

My application has several stencils. However, for some of the stencils
I would like additional lines and characters per line for the
masters.I I can set this globaly in the visio options, but what I
really want is to be able to use different settings depending on the
stencil. I don't seem to be able to find any event that is generated
when a stencil is selected.

Any suggestions ?

You can change the icon size:
With the stencil in edit mode:
View menu -> Icons and details shows more text

and for each icon you can set from 32x32 up to 64x64

Something there might help you.

I forgot to say I tried that. It just makes the icon bigger but the
number of lines and characters remains the same, even though there is
more room for the text it is not used.

Gives you a lot more text and you can use the Prompt area to get even
more.

That would be perfect if only i could turn that on and off for a
particular stencil. I have some stencils with around 40 visually
distinct masters which require very little description. But I have
some stencils with only a handful of masters that are very similair,
but where the names are what really identifies the behaviour of the
shapes and the prompt has further information.
