visio viewer focus

Hi
I am using the visio viewer to display process documents that have shapes
with links. the problem occurs when a user clicks a shape with a hyperlink...
this causes the viewer object to activate and then get the focus. the user
then has to click the shape again to go to the linked document. I have tried
to fix the problem by using:
window.document.viewer1.focus();
in the window onload event and in teh html after the viewer object but
neither has the desired effect. Can anyone help with this
