Visio2k7 has two PDF export methods - one seems incomplete, the other slightly broke.

I have a floorplan diagram that is 20"x20". On the diagram, there is
metadata for the shapes of the offices that tells you the person's
name, phone #, etc.

When I use the "Publish as PDF or XPS", the Image is exported
properly, as shown in the link below:

But none of the metadata comes across - and there's no option to
include it either that I can find.

However, if you use the "Convert to Adobe PDF" option, you get the
opposite:

The image is cut off short, as well as distorted, but the metadata is
there. If you click on an office, you get to see the linked
information for the person occupying the office. (to save time, I
exported just one of the 5 pages here - but the same result occurs if
you export all pages).

I've tried many combinations of print settings, page sizes, "fit to"
options, and more to get the floorplan to export properly. Does anyone
else have this issue, and if so have you resolved it and how?

Don.

Another note to Microsoft - It would behoove them to allow their trial
keys to receive some sort of pre-sales support. Since this product
isn't filling my needs (due to the above problem), it's unlikely that
I'll recommend that my company upgrade to 2k7 - because it doesn't do
much that 2k3 doesn't already do, and the one thing that I want - PDF
export - is broken.

They want me to pay 50 bux to get a solution to the bug in their
program, BEFORE I buy it? Ummmm... No. How about they allow me to get
an answer on how either I am setting the document up wrong - and that
it isn't a bug - in which case we'll buy it, or to fix the bug - in
which case we'd also buy it. But "Here's our bugged feature, please
buy it from us in the hopes that afterwards we'll fix it" isn't going
to fly.

Publish as PDf, the free Microsoft add-on, is based on the OpenPDF format,
which, I believe, does not have all the richness of the Adobe proprietery
PDF format.

Convert to Adobe PDF suggests that you also have Adobe Acrobat installed,
which does have Shape Data and Layers.

Two alternatives - one is free, the other is not.
