VLOOKUP with choices

I need to have a lookup in a cell that depending on the
value may have more than one value. I need to be able to
choose from a drop down list if the search critea has
multiple values. Any help? Example. I want to populate a
cell with a formula based on what the user enters into a
previous cell. There may be more than one value to choose
from.

Use Data>Validation>List in the cell for a dropdown list to choose from.

Then a VLOOKUP formula in the other cell to return a value based on your
choice in first cell.
