Want to uninstall office 2002 and install 2003 due to corruption..

I have a user whose Office 2002 keeps freezing when it is not being
used--especially Word/Outlook. Then nothing works. I've tried to see if
anything else is causing problem but it does seem to be just Outlook/Word.
I've run repairs on pst files and detect and repair etc but no good. Now I
want to try uninstalling Offie 2002 and then clean install of 2003.

1. will the outlook pst files be okay to backup and restore?
2. does the pst file live in the same location on 2003 as on 2002?
3.Will there be reg entires hanging around which need cleaining out?

Thanks

1. You shouldn't have any trouble backing them up.
2. I think it's in the same location (don't quote me on that) but you can add
a pst file after re-installing by opening the 'Mail' applet in the 'Control
Panel'.
3. Office Setup should remove all relevant entries when uninstalling.

On a side note, you might want to pop in your Office setup disc and select the
'Repair' option before trying a complete re-install.
