Wanted: Drag .jpg files to a word doc and have them display as ico

In Word 2000, I could highlight any number of .jpg files from Windows
Explorer and drag them to an open Word .doc and have them display as icons
and become embedded (I suppose), allowing for easy emailing of a lot of info.
I use the procedure heavily, but I have lost it when I installed Word 2003.

Help appreciated.

Hi George,

When Word cannot convert a draggged object it will place it
as an object in the file. Objects tend to have more overhead
(size) than just a graphic. Word 2002 and 2003 have better
conversion capability than earlier versions for some graphic
types.

If you're trying to package a number of graphics as
a single object you can select your graphics in Explorer,
right click and choose copy then in Word use Edit=>Paste Special
and choose 'Package' and 'display as icon' as the choices.
