"Warning: this page contains scrip(s) that could cause errors when run with
the dynamic animation scripts"

I was trying to set up mouse over swapping pictures for menus... and am
getting the above error notices, and then the mouse overs do not work...

Could someone tell me why I am getting such error notices at the page below?

http://www.youshine.com/senior.htm

I removed all script from the page and still getting the error report...

No errors here.
Close FrontPage, clear your temporary internet files and then reopen
your web and see if it still does it.

Thanks Steve for your quick reply...

What you mean by " No erros here"...

I am getting the error not via IE but while I am in FrontPage 2003.... as
shown on the screen capture you could view by clicking the following link.

http://www.youshine.com/download/4steve.jpg
And the webpage that I am working on is
http://www.youshine.com/download/senior082705.htm

Your title tells me that you might have an answer to my problem.... Looking
forward to hearing your expert advice...

Your dopey music was taking WAYYYYY!!!! too much time on a 512k connection.
All your image links are broken.

Ah, I should have put that file in my main directory..

now try http://www.youshine.com/senior082705.htm

There all the link should be showing up there... I thought Steve will look
into my source to see what's going on and not mind broken links...

Thanks Bob for looking into my problem...

As of now I fare with http://www.youshine.com/senior.htm

But I would like to have mouseover picture swap thing because that seems to
work on Firefox as well as Netscape...

Thanks guys for all your input...

Somehow... even when I get error notices, when I persist and finish the work,
it appears to me now that the mouse over seems to work... What you know...

You do know that disabling right click does nothing to protect your images
right?

Y

youshineman

Yea, I know that bad people still find ways to steal images they want with
screen capture...

Even when I took that script away, I still got the same error notices when I
set up mouse overs for those menus...

maybe the onmouse script used to view thumbs to bigger image causes the
conflict...

Thanks for all responses...

It's not 'bad people', it's the people you would want to stop from doing
this. You really don't care about those that are stopped by this silly
technique. The ones that would motivate you to try it in the first place
aren't phased by it - so why bother? And by the way, if I can see your
images, I already have them in my local browser cache. I don't need to
trouble myself with a screen cap, or with turining off javascript, or with
using my Mac, to get them.

Your error is normal for an SP2 system.

Or, add the Mark of the Web to your files when you work on them locally
(Google that term).

Murray,

Your answer is the most satisfactory answer/ solution given so far... I
read the article on SP2 and changed the Advanced Security setting...

I did not check if that will stop the error notice or not yet. But wanted
to say quickly thanks for taking time and sharing that information, which is
very valuable to me.

As for disabling right click, one can say the same thing on people locking
their doors... Thieves know how to break in no matter what measure you put
in... and yet I believe you lock the car door etc. when you exit, right???

I guess it's the same thing...

Good conversing with you...

Any other critiques on my site would be very much appreciated by such keen
minds as you all have...

No, it's not the same thing at all. It would only be the same thing if by
merely thinking about the contents of your house, the 'thief' already had
them. In that case a lock is unnecessary as is a right click blocker. This
is how the web works, and by disabling the right click you have added a
foolish and amateurish time waster to your pages.

Anyhow, I'm glad I was able to help you with the other recommendation -
either solution should work since it is only your local preview that is
affected.

I went to the youshine site, but I don't have the Java engine installed
(similar to most of your visitors), so all I saw was the "Sorry" message and
your other content.....

I guess it's the same thing...
Except that your house probably isn't intended for the general public, while
the Web is. Disabling / altering the functionality of your users' hardware
and software is not a nice thing to do.

Thanks again Murray and Bob for sharing your insights... I needed to hear
what you had to say...

hey...try this on that page:

left click hold down, right click hold down, release left, release
right...voila view source.
