watermark in word(win98)

Hello there*S*
I'm working with watermark in a big document, and I want the watermark to be
presented just on the first page, but it shows up on the following pages too.
What can I do?

Hi Lilli,

Format you document with a different first page - see 'different first page'
under File|Page setup|Layout.

You will then need to move your watermark to the first page.

thanks...I'll try when I've got better time. The way you describe it seems
to me will work if I have placed the watermark "in the head". I do'nt know
what it is called in english the fine thing on the top and the bottom, where
you can put your page numbers.
I'll try to use the "head" *LOL*

This is the "header" in English. When you choose "Different first page" on
the Layout tab of Page Setup, you get a separate First Page Header. If you
insert your watermark there, it will appear only on the first page (along
with any text you put in the First Page Header).
