Watermarks on 2nd page

How do I turn off the watermark on the second page of my document. When I
type a document that is more than one page long, the watermark appears on the
second page. Is there a way to disable this feature after the first page?

I am recreating company letterhead to use in Word. This includes a logo at
the top left, names and titles in a column format along the left margin, and
satellite office addresses across the bottom. I have scanned it in as a .jpg
file and am using it as a watermark with no washout and 100% of scale. I
would like the second page as a blank page. When I try to turn off the
watermark on the second page, it eliminates the watermark from the entire
document.

Any ideas on how to accomplish this? Thanks in advance.

Check the box for "Different first page" on the Layout tab of Page Setup and
anchor the watermark only to the First Page Header.

My problem is that I cannot use a text box, because my productivity/billing
software will not recognize text in a text box (I could always look into
new/different software that might recognize it, I suppose).

I cannot seem to anchor the watermark to a paragraph in Word 2002.
Can someone tell me how to do this.

Thanks so much for your responses. I greatly appreciate the help.

What does the text box have to do with it? Suzanne's suggestion was to place
the watermark (an image) in the first page header! The alternative is to
place the watermark image on the page and set its layout property to behind
text.

Text in a text box is only one watermark possibility. The text watermarks
that Word creates are WordArt, but you could also use text in a frame or a
floating table cell.
