Way to add EDITING Macro keys assignments?

Is there a way to add PowerPoint Macro key assignments in
edit mode?

Macros work just fine but unlike Word/Excel there doesn't seem
to be a way to assign these to keyboard shortcuts (nor in Help.)

Thank you. That should work.

It's a shame to pay for something that all the other Office apps seem to
include.

PowerPoint seems to have the worst 'search/replace' and poorest
configuration options.
