web page in powerpoint

I am doing a ppt presentation (ppt 97) and I want to
display a web page in the middle of my presentation. How
do I go about doing this? I have the page I want saved on
my C: drive but I don't know how to insert it into the
presentation.

Is this in Normal view? Have you tried it in Slide Show view? It only appears
in slide show mode.

I followed these directions, and rather than a web page being inserted, it

looked like a huge square blob. Please help.

How do you copy the web page normally? I just want the screen shot on a
slide.

Just take a screen shot and save it to your hard disk. Then use Insert >
Picture > Picture from File to insert it. See:

If you just want a screenshot, you could use a product like SnagIt:

You can also capture the screen to the clipboard using PrintScreen and edit
it to crop the image in a free image viewer/editor like IrfanView that
allows cropping:
