Webpage Links Don't Work Outside IE

I have a Publisher document with several links. When exported as a
webpage the links work fine in IE but not in Firefox nor Opera.

Cannot work out why... other than Publisher's completely arcane HTML
syntax.

Any suggestions?

Simon.

Yeah, that's definitely my favourite option -- I am a professional web
designer (HTML/CSS/PHP etc.) and I would never design a website in
Publisher, but I do some work in a school and teachers often send me
docs in Publisher format for the intranet (it's probably the easiest
for them to use). To save time converting it all to webpages manually
I'd prefer to just export into web format. Yet it's not functional in
other browsers.

The links are contained in text-boxes... would that be causing the
problem?

You'd probably save time coding the pages manually to look like the
Publisher pages over trying to hash Publisher's output into some semblance
of compliant/browser-compatible code.

There's no way to contain links in anything other than text boxes in
Publisher.

Ed,

Not true, at least with Pub 2002. One can place a hyperlink to a
picture, for instance.

Yeah, I thought of that that as I was writing it. I forgot to add "text" in
front of the word hyperlink.

Although you could put text in a picture.
