Weird Message Formatting Problem

Recently upgraded our Office from XP to 2003. Now when
you right a message using either the RICH TEXT or HTML as
the editor if you use an apostrophe or dash, it will
replace those once the message is sent with a special
character (like a box). Not sure if other characters are
doign this, but starting to have a number of users
complain about these 2 symbols.

Any idea why or how to fix that?

Thanks!

No one else huh? Hmm....it seems to be doing it on ALL
of our systems that have been upgraded from XP to 2003.
Strange....

What encoding format are you using? Western European ISO is standard, I
believe.

Welp, a temporary solution has been to stop using WORD as
the HTML editor. Turn that check box off in the MAIL
FORMAT options area and the problem goes away.

We also did a FRESH install (not an upgrade) to a new box
that never had Office of any version on it and it does
not have a problem at all.

Looks like it is something specific with doing an UPGRADE.
