Weird problem running mp3gain - installs Office 2003!

This is very strange. It has happened to a friend of mine and
thus I don't know many details. In brief, he says that every
time he tries to run a program called mp3gain, the Office 2003
setup program starts instead. He has, naturally, uninstalled and
reinstalled mp3gain, but to no avail.

He has also installed SP2 hoping that this might fix it, but it
didn't.

Any suggestions, please?
