what do software do i use to make "tent cards"

A TENT CARD IS USED TO PLACE ON A DINNER TABLE TO DENOTE WHO SITS WHERE EACH
ONE HAS A COMMON DESIGN AND THE NAME OF THE PERSON WHO IS SITTING AT THAT
PLACE !

What software do you have? Generally you can use any Word application or
Publisher or PowerPoint and many other software packages. All you need to know
is the procedure.

Most people know the purpose of tent cards. Why did you have to shout it to
the world since I can obviously see that your caps lock key is not stuck in
the on position. Posting in all capital letters is considered rude as you
are shouting at anyone who reads the post.

You use a "mail merge" feature of a program with a merge placeholder on the
final output with a list (database) of the names to place on the card. If
you want to put the names on both sides of the tent, you need to use a
program that will invert the wording (upside down) on one half and still
merge the names. Word won't do this but most versions of publisher can.

I always thought of a tent card as a greetings card. I'd have called the
OPs requested cards "place cards".

Guess you weren't one of the "most". Yes place cards would definitely been
appropriate.
