what happens to an upgrade trial at the end?

Hello,

I want to use the eval of office, but do not want to deal
with a mess at the end of the trial if I decide not to
purchase. What happens at the end (1) does it just stop
and automatically restore the older version it was
installed over, (2) should I do a separate install
somehow (if so how), or should I just forget the whole
thing?

Thanks,

A

Hi A.,

You can do a custom install choice and choose
to retain all of your existing apps (except you
can only have one version of Outlook, which has
a newer file format).

You basically have a very nice collection of
viewer/printer Office apps :) This article for
Office XP on Reduced Functionality mode (item #10)
is similar to what Office 2003 trial software would
do if you don't purchase a license for the product
by the end of the trial period.
