what is in the .pst file?

messages for one i guess, 'settings' too.

once i have configured OL, i really dont want to retype in all the email
account info. username, password, servers, etc. are these saved in the
..pst also?

If you want to save your account settings and other Office preferences you
can use the Save My Settings Wizard in the Start Menu under Microsoft Office
Tools (Office 2002/XP and 2003)

No. The .pst file contains your Outlook data, not account settings.
