what is the best chart type for breakeven analysis

I would suggest a simple line graph if you want the intersection of two sets
of data.

A line graph would be appropriate if the horizontal variable is date. If
instead it is a numerical value, such as units sold, you should use an XY
chart. Both types can be formatted to show a line and markers.
