What is the difference between Standard and Pro version

I have the approval from my boss for MS project.

So what are the benefits to have the pro version compared to the Standard
version?

Congrats on the approval. Project Professional 2007 is only used with
Project Server 2007. If you are not going to use Project Server 2007, you
should purchase Project Standard 2007, which is the "desktop only"
application you will want. Hope this helps.
