what is the maximum number of undo actions?

I've tested up to 683 actions, which is enough for whatever I can think of.

But I'd still lilke to know what the official maximum is.

Even better, it would be neat to know where I can find this answer on my own!

There is no official maximum. It probably depends on amount of RAM and
available HD space.
