what should you ensure before printing on a monochrome printer

I am trying to find out the answer for this to help with a powerpoint project
that I am doing

That you have the correct printer driver installed
That the printer is online and connected
The printer has the correct paper
The printer has ink/toner
The the correct print is selected in powerpoint before printing....


then you can worry about whether to print "pure black and white" or
"grayscale"
